The year is coming to a close and it's been a whirlwind year for us.  This small business has done our part to help with unemployment!  We've added several full time and a few part time employees this year.  We've also outsourced new  Point of Sale and Warehouse Management projects.  As we begin 2012 we are excited about a lot of changes that will take place during the first six months of the year.  Our customers will notice the improved features as we complete each of the projects planned for this year. 

No matter how many changes we make, our committment to our customers is what sets Central Vacuum Stores apart. Our expert staff has years of experience and are eager to answer ANY question you have, our prices are competitive and fair, if an item is in stock we ship quickly, and our return policy is customer friendly. 

Our customers are so great and often they send us "love letters" thanking us for the pleasant buying experience.  Business has kept us hopping this year, and I have not had the time to post many of our customer emails, (Since September I have saved 735 "love letters" from customers) so I thought I'd post just a few before the year ends.  I cut and paste these emails, so you get to read them just like the customer sent them.

 

Hello Centralvac, First of all, Happy Holiday and Happy New Year to you all. It is Thursday 12/8 approx. 10:35 am and I just received the product I ordered. At this time, I could not be any happier then what I feel right now. With your help and guidance, a simple task was able to be accomplished in just four days. This task, which was originally taking a licensed electrician / condo manager almost 3 1/2 weeks to finish, was totally completed in a nick of time by a real live honest to goodness MORON named Tony Archer. I spent less time and money dealing with the  REAL PROFESSIONALS at CENTRAL VAC then I did here back home with these no good incompetent #$$@#% FOOLS. I have  been pleasantly surprised at the performance of the central vacuum system.  Most impressive is the suction power with the extended length hose.  The attachments provided meet every possible need.  I use the vacuum both in my home and in my workshop/garage.  The filter/bag combination provides both protection of the motor and ample room for debris.  If there is one shortfall it is this.  I live in the Southwest and during the summer months the heat from the central vacuum is very noticeable when I use it in a small room in my home.  Otherwise I plan to purchase additional units for other residences.   R. Hi Renee, Yes I am very pleased with my new vacuum!  I had an older model, I’m guessing about 20 years old (it came with the house we bought) and had I known that upgrading to the new model was going to be this good I would have done it much sooner!  My old model had an extra cord to attach to the vacuum head which was a hassle, the electric plug-in cord on the new model is longer than the old one which is good as well as it is permanently attached, also good.  Plus, the hose is lighter.  The customer service I received via the website and also via telephone was wonderful with friendly and knowledgeable staff.

thank you for your excellant service. the motor replacement for my beam vacuum was easy. a few screws to get the cover and exhaust off then spring clips, a ground screw and fast-on terminals to replace the motor. 15 minutes tops. Thank You. David M.

I am extremely pleased with my purchase from Central Vacuum Stores.   Usually, I'm hesitant to order from stores or companies that I'm not  familiar with. After pricing a new attachment set for my central vac   at the local "discount" electrical supplier, I searched online for a   less expensive option. Although I found a cheaper price on the set I   needed, the company did not have a reasonable return policy. Central Vacuum Stores offered a lower price AND a generous return policy. I saved almost $100 and received my order promptly. The attachment set was everything as promised and I wish I had replaced my old set years ago. Hi Renee, I received and installed a new Imperium CV300 in place of a thirty year old Nutone CV350.... The installation was very easy, I did have to lower the Imperium, the Nutone bag was changed from the bottom and of course the Imperium from the top....The new Imperium proved to be more powerful and exceptionally quiet compared to the old Nutone.My wife is happy with the performance and now would like a new hose. I was replacing an old NuTone vacuum and I took the opportunity to change the way the PVC attached to the vacuum. "I have a great story on why I called your company. We paid 100 dollars for a BRAND X authorized technician to evaluate our system. His report indicated that our motor was burnt and needed replacement and he had the motor and could do the job the same day for $800+. I thought that was rather high so we passed and sent him on his way. I work for a FAA repair station that works on commercial aircraft parts so I asked one our our engineers to please test this motor for me as I did not see or smell any burnt motor as indicated on a "trouble shooting" link I found on the Internet. After the motor ran perfectly (as expected) he identified the relay switch was defective. You helped and went out of your way to identify that the new part number was identical to the original. Thus saving us a considerable amount... so I am thankful and will return....!  Regards,Mark"

I'm writing to thank you, Brad and Roger for running such an extraordinary company that gives mom-and-pop service from an Internet site.  We moved into a house with a 25-year-old Nutone central vacuum installed.  But it had none of the hoses, attachments etc. needed to make it work.  I knew nothing about central vacuums and was hesitant to invest a few hundred dollars into accessories if the main system was broken.  During a series of phone calls Brad walked me through the entire central vacuum process to make sure my system worked.  Unlike other Internet sites, Brad sold me exactly what I needed, no more and no less.  And when I called later to say that one of my old outlets was broken, Roger told me how to quickly and easily fix it myself...with a nail file!  I never write customer thank yous but your help, service, and products are of such wonderful quality that I want to thank each of you personally for the fine job you do.

Thanks for your follow-up email.Our experience with CentralVacuumStores was just fine.  The new NuTone was a direct replacement for a smaller unit. We bought the original from Home Depot perhaps 15 years ago.  It worked fine, but never really had the oomph it should have had.Upgrading to the new two-motor unit really seems to have made a big difference. Installation was trivial - as all we had to do was hang the new power unit on the same screws as the older one. The inlet connection was at the same location; we did have to plumb an additional exhaust line, but it just runs parallel to the old one. No biggie. What really matters is that my Sweetie is happy.  I know she deserves more than a new vacuum for Xmas - but c'mon, she did ask for it! David L.

It has been a while since I have gone through our customer emails and posted them on the blog.  This morning I went through all the customer "love" letters from March.  There were over 120!  I'd like to post them all, but time does not allow..so here are a few that represent the bulk of the emails.

In February we ordered a replacement motor for our older Eureka central vac from your company. Just wanted to let you know how utterly PLEASED we are with the outcome. Delivery was so fast -ordered late on a Friday and received it be Wed/Thurs way before we expected it to arrive. Your prices are super too. Your motor was $175. Our local supplier wanted $229 and then offered to install it for an additional $39 even though it was sooo easy to do - you even give instructions! We don't usually buy much over the internet. Since we have received the new powerhead, we have enjoyed it 1000 times better than our older powerhead.  We have been using your Imperium central vacuum for 5 years now and has outperformed others brands and companies we have used in other homes.  This new powerhead has been great on Hardwood, Travertine and different pile heights of our carpet.  Are kids say using it is easier and gets into areas better than our older one.  I recommend this powerhead to everyone.

This is Ray M.  from Carson City, Nevada writing.  Just wanted to let you fine folks know that in today's (Wednesday) mail, my drive belt for the Eltrolux Afuera power head arrived and I've just finished installing it.  It fit perfectly and the power head works once again.  My wife is also pleased as I and the Afuera will once again be available to "do the carpets" on our normal cleaning day on Saturday.
My compliments to you and the fine, customer service oriented staff, at Central Vacuum Stores. The drive belt broke last Saturday, I couldn't find a replacement belt at any local repair shop, the Electrolux web site is worthless and the installing contractor has yet to return my phone message.  Your company was "Johnny on the spot!"  Very good web site, great response, quick delivery and excellent customer service.  You're my source in the future.  Loved the story about your business and the Ambrose family on the web page.  You've earned both my business and loyalty.  Good job!

I sent Luke an e-mail in the middle of February telling him how much my wife and I are enjoying the Imperium CV3200 and how much we appreciated his support throughout the process of selecting a replacement central vac.  I was also able to install it myself, and believe me, I am no handyman!  I am also glad we purchased the Change Out/Finish Kit because I realized I had to replace some of the old tubing.  You people at Central Vacuum Stores were really great!  Thanks for your help.  The Imperium CV3200 is much more than I ever expected.  It is so powerful and quiet.  Our old central vac was so loud as to be annoying.  The Imperium is so quiet that I can barely hear it running.

I cannot thank your company enough for the patient, expert help I received when I made my inquiry to you.  I believe it was a lady named Debra who assisted me in my online chat.  She was so nice and patient.  She knew exactly what to ask in order to get me the replacement hose and tool kit I needed for my existing central vacuum system.  I have to tell you - I was extremely nervous about ordering this over the internet, as Sears (who installed my original system) was adamant that there was absolutely no way possible to get replacement hoses and attachments for a 20+ year-old central vacuum.  Well, you certainly proved Sears wrong!  The replacement hose and tools are a 100 times better than the original stuff that came with my system, and the way you treated me was 1,000 times better than Sears!  You have a loyal customer for life.  I urge anyone out there to deal exclusively with your company - !

My wife and I had invested quite a bit of money to upgrade our central vacum system in our new home and since neither of us had ever owned one, we were very excited to start using it.  With Murphy's Law in full effect, we had failed to realize that the newer hose didn't fit the older wall outlets.  All I can say is that after months of getting the run-around from several other sources, it took minutes for Central Vacuum Stores to save the day with the perfect adaptor. The reason I shop online is because of convenience. My central vacuum unit at home failed and I needed a replacement. I never used Central Vacuum Stores before. Actually I didn’t know about the Central Vacuum Stores before this purchase. I did some research online and after comparing what Central Vacuum Stores had to offer I decided to give them a chance. The price was not the cheapest but the difference was very small. Ordering a Eureka replacement motor for our central vac from your company was a very easy and satisfying experience.
When researching the internet for a motor, I found it rather discouraging that the majority of companies said they had parts for our vac but, in reality, only carried filters, belts, and such which wasn't what we needed. When I finally saw that your company could supply us with a motor "Halleliuah".It was only $175.no shipping charge ...You not only saved us big bucks on the motor but also supplied the directions online telling us how to remove and replace it ourselves. Sooo simple.  I must add, I had placed my order on a Friday late afternoon, probably after you were already closed. However, you immediately emailed me first thing Monday and had it shipped out and at my doorstop before I even had a chance to wonder how long it would take.  We would not hesitate to recommend your company. It's been a while since I posted some of our customer comments.  They come in daily, and I would like to post them all, but I try to post the ones that are representative of the others. 

I am going to let you in on one of the secrets of our success...I hope our competitor's aren't reading this...We believe our potential customers are like us...so we build our website and customer service on the things we like in a website....I buy most things online and I like  to know what other people have to say about an online retailer before I buy. I would like to thank you for the excellent service your company and Roger provided to me.  I was needing to replace an eighteen year old power head and hose and came across your site during an internet search.  I put in a query and Roger called the next day and left his phone number.  I called him back on 1/14/09 and ordered a Bargain Basement power head and hose for $200.00.  I received my order the evening of 1/15/09 (I live about 90 miles from your store) and tried it out.  The first thing I noticed was the lighter weight hose and then that the power head was a lot quieter and lighter than my old one.  I am really happy with my purchase and will buy the central vacuum unit from you if and when mine fails.  Thank you again.

Thank you so much for steering my wife and I correctly towards the  purchase of the Imperium CV3200 model last Saturday (Feb. 7). It  arrived yesterday, I installed it last night and used it this morning  for the first time. Both my wife and I are thrilled with it - both  the work it does as well as being so quiet! The order came through just fine. When we spoke on the phone, I realized then that you had so much knowledge of your products that this was going to be a good shopping experience. And so it was. The powerhead you suggested is amazing. Not only does it do its job perfectly but it wants to pull you across the floor with it. All the other parts ordered were correct and of great quality, in fact, I didn't realize that I would be getting new tubes with the powerhead. The central vac system in my house is now 16 years old.
