Central Vacuum Hide-a-Hose Makes Cleaning Easy and Convenient

My sons's two older children have been visiting with us for the past few weeks and today I got back from taking them home to Virginia.   I've mentioned in previous posts about the central vacuum system and Hide-a-Hose my son installed in his existing house.  He and his wife love the system and now I know why...

My three year old grandson spilled a snack size bag of  trail mix on the kitchen floor.  His mother told him to clean it up and to my amazement he picked up the empty wrapping, walked over to the HIde-a-Hose inlet, put the wrapping into the hose end, and turned the system on.     

Whoosh, the wrapper was whisked away. He proceeded to pull out the hose and vacuum up the crumbs from the trail mix he spilled.  I had to help him retract the hose into the inlet, but basically he operated the entire system by himself! 

So now, moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas, it's time for a Hide-a-Hose system in your house.  A system so simple even a three year old can operate it!

Compact, Intervac Central Vacuum for Motor Homes and Condos

I believe all across this country men are dreaming of owning an RV Vehicle.  Recently, my four year old granddaughter, Audrey, was spending the night.  She and I were just chit chatting about life in general when out of the blue she says, "When my mom dies my dad is going to buy a camper."  Now, my daughter is not ill, but I knew immediately Audrey had overheard her mom and dad have the same conversation that I have had with Roger...

"I'd love to get an RV vehicle and tour the country?"  he says.
To which I reply, "When I die, you can do that with your new wife."

Vroom for Central Vacuum Systems

Have you ever watched one of those home makeover shows where the homeowners just walk through the house and all they can say is "Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh!"  Well,  HP Products (Vacuflo) has just introduced a new product and all I can say is "OH MY GOSH".  To date, I think this may be one of the most, if not the most, innovative thing I have seen in the central vacuum industry.  If you have a central vacuum system, or are planning on getting a central vacuum system, you MUST have at least one of these.  It is called the Vroom.  This thing installs under a sink or in any cabinet.  It hooks up to your existing central vacuum system.  It is basically a compact retractable hose that turns on automatically when you pull the hose out from its base and turns off when you place it back into the docking station.  And here is the even better news, if you don't have a central vacuum system, in the late summer HP will be coming out with a unit that will include a small vacuum, making it a stand alone product!

Central Vacuum Garage Kits Dads Will Love

I hope all you Dads had a nice Father's Day.   Roger and I grilled steaks on Saturday night  and invited my mom and dad, my sister and her husband, and all our kids that are in town.  Celebrating early is nice because then you can actually kick back and relax on Father's Day. 

I found a website where they listed the "so called" top ten Father's Day movies.  Something seems terribly wrong with this list...

Other than National Lampoon's Vacation and maybe Field of Dreams, I can't really imagine these movies being favorite Father's Day movies.  Obviously a woman compiled this list.  The men in our family want to see action movies and some of their favorite things are grills and garages. 

A few years back, I gave Roger a complete garage redo for  a gift.  We built a great workbench area, hung slat-board, and put in some nice tall storage cabinets.  For the grand finale we laid a tile floor and put in air conditioning.  He loves hanging out there.  I don't know what your garage looks like, but I don't think there's a man out there that wouldn't love our deluxe garage kit.  This is a great enhancement for your central vacuum system.  You have a choice of a 30 or 50 foot hose and it comes with everything you need to clean your garage and cars.  The only thing you might want to think about adding is the car care kit we sell.

Industrial Central Vacuum Systems by Disan

In my last post I mentioned the trip Mary (Roger's assistant) and I made to Bloomington to visit Cen-Tec.  Ray and Maggie Storti, along with their sons Tony and Paul, hosted the event for a group of central vacuum dealers. They did an incredible job of making us feel like special guests. 

The primary purpose of the trip was to preview the new Industrial Central Vacuum Systems being offered by Cen-Tec.  These systems are manufactured by Disan, an Italian manufacturer of industrial central vacuum systems.  Disan has partnered with Siemens to manufacture a high quality piece of equipment.  Units are available for single user systems as well as multi-user systems.  Diego, the Disan representative from Italy, said the compact single user system is being used in high end villas in Italy. We think this might be a good fit for some of our customers who want a quality piece of equipment in their home.

Roger's assistant, Mary, and I are in Bloomington, Illinois.  On Wednesday we flew up to Cen-Tec, located here in Bloomington.  Cen-Tec supplies us with all of our Imperium Attachment Sets, our Accessory Kits(tool boxes), and a variety of other central vacuum products that we carry.  They invited us up here with  other central vacuum companies in the U.S. and Canada.  We have been in meetings with these guys all day, and we have laughed a lot.  You'd be surprised just how much fun central vacuum systems can be!  One of the highlights of my trip was meeting someone from Gary's Vacuflo in Portland, Oregon.  Gary's Vacuflo is an industry icon.  No one is really sure who sells the most central vacuum systems on the Internet, but everyone knows Gary's sells the most vacuum systems in the country!  We have heard about them for years and about their business model, but having never met anyone from their company, I wondered if Gary's  was just a central vacuum urban legend.  Having lunch with someone from their company was kind of like having lunch with the real Santa Clause.
