Central Vacuums on Sale in our Bargain Basement

Faith, Dawn and I were recently in New York City. We ate at Carnegie's Deli, had pizza at Lombardi's, saw Spiderman, visited the New 9-11 Memorial, saw the "Occupiers" and  got to spend time with  a friend who is going to college in the Empire State Building!  Right up the street from the Empire State is the original Macy's.  Macy's in New York City is incredible...the size is staggering and it is the home of  Macy's Bargain Basement.  I think Macy's may have coined that term.  You can read more about their history here.  At Central Vacuum Stores, we don't have a literal basement, but we do have a virtual  bargain basement!.

When you sell as many central vac products to as many customers as we do, there are bound to be returns.  Sometimes we have to scrap the product because it is damaged or has to go back to the manufacturer for warranty purposes.  However, often a customer doesn't like the product, or didn't order the right product, or whatever.  Often, we put those items in our bargain basement.  Customers can enjoy some significant savings in our bargain basement, and all products we sell from there have a full warranty.  If you are looking for something in particular, just fill out our inquiry here, and we'll go searching to see if we have what you need in our own bargain basement.

Central Vacuum Remembers

This week we are remembering 9-11 at Central Vacuum Stores, so our blogs, Twitter and facebook posts will not include anything commercial just rememberances.  But before we start, I do have to mention Miele vacuum cleaners and give them a thumbs up.  In the weeks and months following the attacks on the World Trade Center we sent A LOT of Mieles to New York City.  People who lived near the Twin Towers needed to clean up dust on a regular basis, and officials were recommending Miele vacuum cleaners because of their superior filtration.  We aren't allowed to discount the price on Miele vacuum cleaners, but we did give some away to folks whose world was turned upside down.

The morning after the attacks I went into my youngest son's bedroom.  A few years earlier we had painted his walls with chalkboard paint for fun.  That morning, in several spots around the room he had drawn chalk pictures of the Twin Towers.  It was his way of memorializing those who had lost their lives.  I've never had the heart to erase those images, and today the faint outline of those images remains on the walls of that bedroom. It was not long after that same son started talking about military service.  In May he will be graduating from military college and commissioning into the U.S. Army.   The images of that day are never far from us, and this week we remember.

Aid for Japan

Our general manager, Craig Handelsman, and his wife, Kim, spent several years living in Japan.  They love Japan and are so concerned for their friends there.  We are all concerned and our prayers are with the Japanese people.  Sometimes we need to put feet on our prayers, and so we have included a link on our website to Samaritan's Purse Emergency Relief for the Catastrophe in Japan.  I was visiting my son and his family this weekend, and on our way from the Charlotte Airport we passed the Samaritan's Purse headquarters.  This is a great organization and they are already on the ground in Japan, and planning massive relief efforts. Hi Renee, I received and installed a new Imperium CV300 in place of a thirty year old Nutone CV350.... The installation was very easy, I did have to lower the Imperium, the Nutone bag was changed from the bottom and of course the Imperium from the top....The new Imperium proved to be more powerful and exceptionally quiet compared to the old Nutone.My wife is happy with the performance and now would like a new hose. New Central Vacuum Features

What's new at Cenral Vacuum Stores?  Well, first take a look at our new redesigned logo.  Our original Central Vacuum Logo, which we loved, won an Addy for it's design.  Well, times are changing and we thought it was time for a new look.

We've updated and redesigned our Miele vacuum pages to include more comparisons, more product information for customers and more options with our new Miele Packages.   You can compare Miele's based on the series, or the type of flooring you have and now you can enhance your purchase with our package solutions. Just choose your flooring type and we'll match you up with the quality accessories that will best suit your needs.

We've also added the Cana-Vac Doc IT.  The very latest in retractable hose management. In a future blog we will tell you more about the Medi-Vac for Veterinarian offices.  You can find them on our site under our Specialty Central Vacuums.  There are several systems available for general cleaning, grooming, and aspiration and scavenging (Scavenging?) These are the units used during surgery to aspirate wounds and also to remove toxic gases from the air, also known as scavenging. 

One thing that has not changed at Central Vacuum Stores is our committment to customer service.  We treat everyone like they are our customer, even if they aren't our customer, because we want them to be our customer.

Central Vacuum Complete Packages

I hate it when I don't get to blog more....In the past few months we have been really busy in the store and our web team has created lots of new central vacuum packages, and intercom packages.   We use an interactive tool that allows our customer to choose from several options for each package, and in each package we have included the options our customers choose most often.  We won't stick a product  in a package and then force you to buy something you really don't want or need because it is part of the package. With our packages you have options and you build your own central vacuum package based on what you need.   Right now we have ELEVEN central vacuum package solutions  assembled according to brand and need...for example you can use the Nutone central vacuum package solution, if you are interested in a Nutone, or you can use the Salon central vacuum package solution if you are interested in a central vacuum for your hair salon.  Each package solution represents 48 separate package combinations, so do the math...Central Vacuum Stores is offering our customers 528 different package options!  Take some time to peruse the different central vacuum package solutions.

I was replacing an old NuTone vacuum and I took the opportunity to change the way the PVC attached to the vacuum.
