Central Vacuum Hose Solution

Fire_2 We live near a nature reserve and from time to time the fire department will stage "control" fires to burn away the underbrush.  Roger likes to call them "out of control" fires, because on more than one occasion, they have underestimated the wind and large sections of the woods have been badly damaged. 

At Central Vacuum Stores sometimes things happen that we have no control over, but I can assure you our customers never get burned.  Almost every item you see on our website is in stock, available for immediate purchase.  However, there are times when circumstances beyond our control leave us with out of stock or back-ordered products.  When this happens we will always call you immediately and let you know the situation and the estimated time of arrival for the out of stock product.  Here is an email from a recent customer who experienced this first hand...

Excellent customer service...placed the order online...got a call that the 30ft hose ordered was not in stock but would ship the 35ft model at the same price if that was ok.  It was, it shipped and arrived as promised.

Central Vacuum Replacements are Hassle Free

Hassle_2 I wanted to share this recent email from a satisfied customer.  He purchased a Nutone central vacuum hose from us and after 9 months it stopped working.  This is not usual with Nutone hoses, but we all know, things happen. Nutone stands behind their products, just make sure if you want a genuine Nutone hose, that the hose you are buying is actually manufactured by Nutone.  Some Internet companies sell off brand hoses and represent them to be Nutone hoses. A Nutone hose will come in a box that has the Nutone name printed on the box along with the Nutone part number.  Also, all Nutone hoses have the name Nutone printed on the hose. We sell different brand hoses that fit Nutone, but on our site the manufacturer is always listed.  As a matter of fact, when you are purchasing a large item on the Internet you may want to check with the manufacturer before you buy and make sure they recommend the company you are planning to buy from. Legitimate dealers will always stand behind what they sell you.  At Central Vacuum we are a factory authorized dealer for all the brands we feature on our website, so replacements are always hassle free.  Read this customer's experience.

Hey Renee,  Yes we received the hose.I t will reach to all corners of the house.We leave the original one upstairs. Are we lazy, or what?  Kinda like having to cancel the cruise control on the highway, a lot of effort to push a button or hit brakes to slow down.What a convenience it is to be able to plug one socket and reach the entire east half of  the house and lanai, then move it once to complete the west side.Remember of Momma ain't happy,nobody is happy,especially pops. Everything is fine so far.  I'll be installing the equipment in about two months when my garage addition gets that far along. The vacuum is working great.  My daughter and her husband bought a 25+ year old home that had a Black and Decker central vacuum system.  The owner said that it did not work and had not worked for a long time, and so she had gotten rid of all of the hoses and accessories.  I was able to run down the problem with the central system, loose wire at one of the connection locations and got the system back working.  I found your web site and ordered the hoses and accessories.  They work great.  My daughter loves the ease of vacuuming her house, it has four different levels, her husband loves it because he can watch TV while she is vacuuming, her 11 month old twin boys like it because it is quiet and does not scare them.  So all in all it is a big hit.

Beam Central Vacuum Replaced with Imperium Leaves Customer Happy

Dog_driving_2 When it came time for my youngest son to learn to drive, I told Roger he would have to do the instructing this time.  I am a failure as a driving instructor.  Three of the four children I taught to drive had accidents within a year.  Faith, our middle daughter, once lamented to me that she had been in four accidents and all with stationary objects!  One of her accidents was with the refrigerator we kept in the garage.  Faith has a lot in common wImp_ct7800tith the customer who recently sent us this email.

We had a Beam built in vac unit...mashed it with the car...your sales person recommended an Imperium unit...the thing is quieter and more powerful than the Beam and better looking and half the price...thanks Fred E.

I am so sorry that Fred had an accident with his Beam central vacuum (and I just want to add this disclaimer, I did NOT teach Fred how to drive).  But I am so glad that Fred got to try our Imperium central vacuum.  It is a beautiful unit, in addition to being quiet and powerful.  If you are in the market for a central vacuum system, be sure to look at the Imperium.

Central Vacuum Referral Says it All

A recent email from a central vacuum customer:

Renee,
I am in love with our new central vacuum system.  It's hard to believe that keeping my house clean is so easy - and we have two dogs and five cats living in our home!  My only regret is that we waited so long to install it.  Now I'm remembering all the weekends I wasted trying to catch up on my vacuuming.  That's not a worry anymore because everyday I can quickly grab the hose, plug it into the outlet and vacuum up any mess.  I can even vacuum when my husband is still sleeping because he can't hear any vacuum cleaner noise in the bedroom.  I am a happier woman.  Take it from me... if you want a clean house but you hate vacuuming - the time, the noise, the dust that blows right back into the house, the mess of emptying the bag or canister every few minutes - then give yourself a break and get a central vacuum system.  Thank you for a great product!!

Nutone Central Vacuum Attachments Upgrade an Old System

I recently received this email from a customer who decided to try to upgrade his older system by purchasing new central vacuum attachments and accessories.  His is a success story.  If you have an old system, and you think it is worthless, consider upgrading your attachment set.  Often customers blame their central vacuum system for poor performance instead of the real culprit, an inadequate attachment set.

"We have been in the process of renovating our house. We have an old Nutone
system in place from the 70's.  The old hose and vacuum head had died some
years ago and we were not happy with the either the hose or the head as they
were heavy and unwieldy. So we abandoned the central system and bought and
destroyed two upright vacuums through the abuse of our slow construction
process. After the last upright died we were considering one of the Dyson
vacuums as a replacement. Smarting from the sticker shock we actually
decided to replace the central hose and head as a stop gap measure until we
could figure out what we wanted in the way of an upright.

There has been a lot of improvement in the hoses and heads since the early
seventies! So we added an additional drop upstairs and then added two new
drops and an additional hose and head for the downstairs. We are very happy
with the end result and I don't think we spent much more than we would have
on the more expensive upright.

This was I think our third order from you. Since we are trying to match the
old system as best we can we have had to exchange pieces with you a couple
of times. Both times you folks were very helpful and your response time was
great. I wish you would handle some of the other things we need in our rehab
project."

Hide-a-Hose Central Vacuum for Dogs

In an earlier post I shared from one of our customer's David C.  He had written to tell us about his Hide-a-Hose installation using our 2x2 adaptors.  David also mentioned how much his Newfoundland was enjoying the Pet Lover's Accessory Kit.  I said I would post pictures of David's dog if he sent them along...well, here  is one of my favorites.

Central Vacuum Customer Reviews Hide a Hose and Schedule 40 Pipe

Schedule 40 for me.....

I will start by saying thank you for your 2x2 adapter. 

I decided the best thing for my installation was to use schedule 40 pipe.  Mainly because the local plumbing supply owner is a friend and buying pipe, fittings, whatever is very easy.  Another reason was for my decision to buy the hide a hose product.   

Well, I have to tell you that I am not disappointed in the least.  The only draw back I had was assembling 45 feet of pipe to house the hose when the vacuum was only 15 feet away.  I used Schedule 40 plumbing PVC 90 sweeps to make my run.  Although this allowed the hose to retract it seemed slow and I had to push the hose the last few feet.  I made a slight modification by changing the plumbing 90 sweeps with schedule 40 electrical conduit sweeps. Wow, what a difference and hang on to the hose.  It now retracts very fast and is working excellent.  Very impressed.

OH YEAH and the pet lovers attachments.  Our Newfoundland Loves it.
