California Residents Get Upgraded Shipping on Filters and Bags

Fire California is such a beautiful state.  I was there this past June and had the opportunity to  spend a portion of the day driving the Pacific Coast Highway.  It is tragic to watch the fires on television and I cannot imagine what it must be like for the folks that live there. We know the fires are creating incredible cleaning and air quality issues for those in any proximity to them.  Over the past couple of days we have noticed a significant increase in the purchase of bags and filters to California.

We want to do what we can, so we are upgrading all shipping on bags and filters going to California to Third Day Air, at no additional charge to the customer.  Hopefully this will speed up the process for our customers.  Our prayers are with you all.

Central Vacuum Commercial Installation with 2" Plumbing Pipe

Recently, a customer who installed our Imperium central vacuum system in a commercial application sent us some great pictures of the installation.  We thought you might want to see these pictures.  If you look, you'll notice he used 2" plumbing pipe and our patent pending adapters.

We have been installing central vacuum systems for over  27 years and during that time, in commercial and industrial installations, engineers have often specified 2" plumbing pipe.  That's why we developed our patent pending adapters.  We wanted our residential customers to have the same choice our commercial customers had.  To learn more about using 2" plumbing pipe check out the information on our website.

Help with a Budd Central Vacuum System

A recent email from a customer:
I purchased an older home in NJ with an old operational BUDD central vacuum system model 334.  The unit looks old, and it is not properly exhausted (inside the crawl space), so when it doesn't work right - all dirt stays in the house.

BUDD is still in business, so I could call them, but I am intrigued by the newer more efficient systems you may be offering.  What is your advice?  Will I have connection problems if I switch to a different unit?  Can you sell me BUDD compatible wall outlets?

The house is approximately 4,000 square feet, and I currently have 5 wall outlets installed.  The BUDD hoses are almost new.

Brad's reply:
The Budd unit you have has a great track record for longevity and houses one of the flagship motors made by Ametek-Lamb.It is a true cyclonic and as such should be vented outside with no exception. While yours is vented into the crawl space (a situation that in many cases would be acceptable if the crawl space is outside vented) the chance of dust re-entry is possible. As a replacement, with exhaust dust eliminated by a paper or inverted filter bag any one of the following would be worthy replacements:
    1. Beam Line Model 375C
    2. NuTone CV750
    3. DuoVac Signature SIG1465
The inlet valves you have are Budd specific and will only except 1 1/4" tube connection at your hose cuff wall side. There is a way to convert the Budd valves to universal if you wish to make your choice of attachments limitless.
All specs and related information can be found on our web site,          https://www.centralvacuumstores.com/cvs/install_5.php

Debra,
Thank you for the quick response, and your consideration in this matter.
You don't find this type of good "customer service" any more. And I appreciate you sending the new belt.

Martina,
It certainly was a pleasure doing business with you. We went through everything so quickly and you were so knowledgeable, I don't remember if I said thanks. I don't know what Roger is paying you but tell him its not enough.
Sincerely,
James A.

Your staff was very helpful and as a result our unit has much greater suction and thus works better.

I was hesitant to order a replacement intercom system  over the internet.  But then I remembered how muchtime a rep from your company spent helping me find the right size filters for my house vacuum. Marcie was absolutely wonderful.  She asked all the right questions.  To our surprise, she did not forget a thing. We are talking about a intercom system for 2 different type of doors, the garage, and 6 rooms. I had compared prices and you were definitely competitive.  But what price do I put on ease of ordering and getting it right the first time? Thank you for the great service, prices and most of all, for hiring Marcie!

The woman who helped me on the phone was very knowledgeable and helpful.  Much better than the first website I called.  I think her name was Martine.  Thanks.

Central Vacuum Installation in Paradise - Part 2

A while ago we heard from Virgil and his dog, Walker, in Hawaii.  Virgil just sent me an update on his completed system along with some pictures of his view in Hawaii (just to make us all green with envy).  Click on the pictures to enlarge.

Aloha Renee:

Here are a few comments and photos of the installation.

The whole project was pretty straightforward.  Older houses in Hawaii are usually single wall (no need to fish blindly through studs and drywall) and generally they are set up on posts so access is not a problem (if you don't mind a few spiders).  I installed the unit in an enclosed utility shed in the side yard with lots of ventilation.  Access couldn't be better and the noise stays outside. The whole process took about two days including layout, re-routing a dedicated 20 amp circuit, and installation of the unit and associated plumbing and wiring.

It was astonishing how much came out of the carpets and off the floors the first time we used it (even after a last go around with our old conventional vacuum).  My Wife and Daughter both have allergies that were exacerbated every-time we used a conventional vacuum.  (And we tried three different models.)  The central vac unit solved that problem and you just can't beat the convenience and utility.

We couldn't be more satisfied.  I highly recommended the whole concept of a central vacuum system and of course the excellent value and service that Central Vacuum Stores providesCentralvacinstallation4. Centralvacinstallation3 Central_vac_instalation_2

Are Imperium Central Vacuum Dealerships Available?

Q: I would like to install Imperium central vacuum systems in my local area.  How do I get set up as a dealer?

A: Central vacuum installation companies, security installation companies, contractors, electricians and plumbers ask us this question on a regular basis.  In response to these requests, Imperium Industries is now offering dealerships to installation companies across the country.  If you are interested you can call them and speak to a representative.  Their toll free number is 1-866-681-4058.

A: Here is a recent email from a contractor in Louisiana.  He would be a perfect fit for an Imperium Dealership.

I am very pleased with my experience with Central Vacuum Stores.  Your customer service reps are courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt.  I really appreciate the fact that you guys answer the phone with a live, warm, breathing human being!  My orders have been shipped promptly, accurately, and have arrived when promised

I am in the process of installing a system in a new home I am building (I'm a licensed contractor in LA).  I will be ordered the vacuum canister & motor, hoses, handles, etc. in a few months as we near completion of the project.  I look forward to continuing to do biz with yall.  Thanks again for checking in!
